Fill out a yellow Out-of-Order card (found at each location) with the details of the issue. Detach the bottom section along the dotted line and drop it in the box near the coin changers. Leave the Out-of-Order sign on or in the machine to warn other customers. Once our maintenance crew confirms the problem, they will notify our refunds manager and your claim will be processed.
Wash prices range from $4.50 for standard machines up to $11.00 for our largest machines. Drying cost depends on the weight and density of your load, but typically adds just a few dollars.
No need to bring detergent from home — we have detergent, bleach, fabric softener, and other additives for sale at our soap vending machines. Powder and liquid detergents work great in the machine's soap cup. Laundry pods should be thrown in with the clothes.
Currently, Shallowford Coin Laundry (6818 Shallowford Rd, Chattanooga) accepts cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile pay. All other locations are coins only, but more locations will be accepting cards soon!
Machines are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We do not offer reservations. Weekday mornings are typically the least busy time to visit.
Our locations are self-service, but we have a simple process for reporting problems and requesting refunds.
Separate lights, darks, and colors at home to save time and prevent dye transfer.
Cold water works great for most loads and protects fabrics. Use warm for moderately soiled items, hot for whites and heavily soiled clothing.
Fill the drum about three-quarters full. Clothes need room to move to get clean — overloading leads to poor results and machine wear.
Tissues, coins, and pens can damage machines and ruin other clothes. Always check pockets before loading.
As a courtesy to other customers, please transfer your laundry to a dryer or remove it as soon as your cycle finishes.
"Dry clean only" items should not go in the washer. Delicate fabrics may need a lower dryer heat setting to avoid shrinkage.
